Theodore Steves is a highly erudite madman in snake-skin shoes. From the outset Steves is different and special. His unhealthy relationship with his mother and his cold, detached father have long lasting effects on the state of his mind, culminating in a man who believes himself omniscient, a deity, with comedic disdain for all humankind. He sets up a cult-like commune to secure his position as high priest of madmen with a bunch of criminal misfits as his own private army. His vision: The Empire of Steves.
