Pregnant Women is a collection of fifty black
and white, fine art nudes in celebration of the female body in metamorphosis.
These remarkable photographs of pregnant mothers explore the evocative
joy, fun, peculiarities and sensuality of pregnancy. Each photograph
is complimented beautifully by a piece of specially selected literary
companion prose. Joth Shakerley’s work has been published in
Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Tatler and internationally. His first book, Taming
of the Eagles, was
published in 1992 and documents an epic four month journey from Moscow
to Vladivostock. He is best known for his black and white portraiture
and for his photography at private society events. He lives in London
with his wife and two daughters.
